So on to the really fun part - storyboarding.

 

Next I followed the steps in BBP (p. 217) to transform the story template into a storyboard. I edited down any of the headlines that were too long down to 2 lines, then I added and positioned the storyboard guides. (For those who want to skip the formatting steps, the Add-In takes care of this work for you.)

 

The final results are attached below in the form of my basic storyboard.

 

At this point I rehearsed this using only these blank slides with the plain headlines. This proves that you can deliver a clear and engaging story even before you add the power of visuals, and also increases your confidence in your story.

 

It's a great idea to record yourself during your rehearsal, so you can use the recording later to fill out your notes pages.
